Hello to all our friends around the globe!

My European tour is now over and I have arrived back home in Australia. Finland’s  “tropical” temperatures  felt so much like home to me that a few times I thought I was actually in Australia!

In the meetings we again felt the supernatural power of the Lord. There has been a growing sense of God’s presence in many nations – the same was true in Finland, England and France where I travelled around for almost three months this summer. God came to us through His Spirit, refreshing the tired ones, removing depression and healing the sick.

fr2010b.jpg

We have heard how the Holy Spirit is being poured out around the world, especially for example in Asia. Even though the horizon might look stormy and black, the clouds also bring refreshing rain. This is what we were allowed to feel during this tour, when both natural thunderstorms and the rains of the Spirit rolled over us.

What is your situation? Will you allow the rain to come over you? Are you bold enough to reject a wrong kind of criticism; will you let revival  in without religious rules and restrictions, or do you prefer  to just stand and watch from the sidelines? Revival brings change - will you allow yourself to be changed?

The Visit to France
fr2010c.jpg

My short visit to France was really a blessed one. On this trip God opened new areas to me, Marseilles and the city of Salon, and I was invited to come and preach in many other cities as well. But sadly, there just was not time for that on this trip. Maybe next summer it will happen, God willing. I feel that France is just about to spiritually wake up in a totally new way, as Ps 107: 35 says

 The city of Marseilles

He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs”.

 Pastor George

A big thank you to Marie  F. Schutz and Catherine Rousseau for arranging the meetings for me in France. You did a marvellous job. People came to the meetings in Marseilles from many different denominations, including a delegation from the Armenian Church of Marseilles. It was so encouraging to get to know these brothers and sisters and to see how the Holy Spirit came powerfully and touched all who had come to the meeting. I believe that Marseilles is a gateway of revival to reach to Muslims and African countries beyond. fr2010e.jpg

fr2010f.jpg  I also visited a church called CEEV (Centre d'Evangélisation Esprit & Vie) in the city of Salon, in southern France. The active pastors of this young church had led it in rapid growth within a short period of time. They were so excited about my visit that they offered to arrange a long prophetic seminar in France even this autumn but regrettably I cannot make it due to my Asian commitments.  fr2010g.jpg

fr2010h.jpg  In Salon I got to know many people who certainly did not come my way by accident. One of them was Florence, with whom I had detailed discussions and by whom I was  greatly encouraged and inspired. She is a doctor of physiology and has written a book on the very same topic that the Lord led me to teach about in Finland this summer in a prophetic counselling seminar and one-day therapist training session. The latter especially caused a lot of questions to come up.

 Florence

I taught about emotions and the effect they have on our mind and body, and how emotions can either heal us or destroy us. Destructive emotions work like poison, causing illnesses, stress and depression. But we can fight against these killing emotions because God has given us advice on how to be healed. I will have a new CD series published in the autumn on this topic. In the counselling seminar which lasted one week, we already experienced healings from both physical and emotional problems. God  came to us in a very powerful way and reinforced His word about the signs that “will accompany those who believe” (Mark 16:17).

The religious spirit fights against freedom as it wants to keep believers in chains. It doesn’t accept the healing power of Jesus, nor the fact that we actively cooperate in the change process, by the renewal of our minds, instead of just standing and waiting for someone to come and “change us” as if we were babies in nappies!
The Lord emphasised to me through Florence’s work that what I taught really had come from Him. Florence explained that she has researched the subject  for many years. The mind and body of a human being work closely together, with the emotions having a profound effect on the wellbeing of  the body. Many believers go through life on an emotional roller coaster, up one minute and down the next, unstable and uncertain, weak and burnt out. But God has a solution for our ruling emotions and depression.

Support and Our Team

flora.jpg It has been interesting to reflect that over this summer God has brought two women into my life – Flora in England and Florence in France – to strengthen and underline what He wants to say to this generation. The Lord has put the right individuals in the right places at this critical moment and He has raised up new intercessors to fight for this ministry. A big thank you to Kristina, Rauni and many, many others who have come along and stood and fought by my side.

Thank you too to the members of our Hosea team both in Finland and in England for your tireless work behind the scenes. Without that work, my European tour would not have been possible.

Our Books
The first publication of the Finnish language “Miracles” book has sold out and we have gone to a second printing. I have heard testimonies of several people coming to Christ through this book and also of many that have been renewed in their faith.  The original English language version has wider coverage and contains more than 200 photographs, while the Finnish version is somewhat shorter as we had to leave out some stories to make the book slimmer. So if you want to read the full story, please order the English one.
“My Heaven”, the children’s book  about my visions of heaven has now also sold out.  More than 4000 children have already come to Christ through using this book and it has gone around the world, even to many Muslim countries.
My new book “Angels and Miracles” will be published this autumn in Finnish only. If you want to put in a pre-publication order, please email
sales@hoseami.org with your contact details and required number of copies. Of course proceeds from book sales are used towards our mission work.

Healings and Anointing
One of the loveliest and funniest healings  this summer happened in Siion Church in Helsinki...
zionch2010.jpg  A lady who had been standing in the prayer queue  leaning on her crutches, suddenly took off like a rocket up the steps and straight out of the building. Linnea, one of our Hosea team members was watching and so she decided to run after this dear lady, as she had left something behind in the church hall. So now there were two “speedy Gonzales” ladies running along the street. Linnea shouted: “You forgot your crutches!”  and the first one answered: “I don’t need them anymore, I was healed in the prayer queue so now it’s time to RUN!” So what does it matter if her crutches were left behind? They would only have got in the way when she was running!

There were also many other remarkable healings during this summer. When Jesus healed the eyes of a blind man, the Pharisees attacked him and opposed his healing miracle. The very same happens even today. The blind man who was healed, gave a good answer to those who attacked him: "Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!" ( John 9:25). No other explanations are needed.
Everywhere we ministered in Finland this summer we found  meeting places filled with people to record levels. I believe that this shows that Finland is now searching for the spiritual inheritance that belongs to her. And the fires of revival are just about to break out from under the surface.

Take the anointing and clothe yourself with it: do not wait for someone to come and put it upon you. What is the anointing then? It is the Presence of God, the same cloak of anointing that the disciples put on when the Holy Spirit was poured onto them in the upper room in Pentecost. We are co-workers with God and our Heavenly Father gives us a cloak of righteousness washed by the blood of Jesus.  Use it everywhere you go: at home, in your office, as you walk on the street, at  school, while shopping. Do not ever take it off as it belongs to you – as Jesus says in John 14:12, “Anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

Thank You for Your Donations and Prayers
Dear friends, a big thank you to all of you who have been interceding, donating or supporting this ministry in one way or another. With your help we have already been able to start 11 schools in the Asia-Pacific Islands, where more than 500 pupils are now studying. In addition to them we have a Bible College in Papua New Guinea, from where new pastors are graduating to serve the local churches.

We have also purchased two fishing boats for a village where one of our schools is located, on Mindoro Island in the Philippines. These boats provide  work opportunities and food for the local people and they are also used to reach other islands to bring the Gospel to those living there.  We also arrange medical aid and give food to the families during monsoon seasons. Our schools have been able to give food and clothing to the poorest children. Quite a few teachers have found work in our schools in areas where there are no work opportunities available.

Many of the parents of our school children have found Jesus as their Saviour and joined the local churches. Localities like Mamburao town, that earlier were so full of terrorism and crime, have now been cleaned up.  Changes have been big and very visible, so much so, that I have received invitations from many other cities and villages in the Philippines, to come and start a new school there too. They want the same things that they have seen and heard happening in the places where our schools are located.

It is the stream of donations (and prayers!)  that have made all this possible, as now the funds are being used for the purpose for which they were collected and supposed to be used. Our work has gone forward speedily, and our sincere thanks go to God and to all of you who have supported this ministry.

Newsweek Magazine recently announced Finland as the best country in the world to live in. I can tell you that it is also due to Finnish people that mission work has been so successful in the Asia-Pacific Islands, with French and English people playing a large part too. Together we are able to do a lot and to bring wellbeing to the poorest people in these developing countries so that society would be transformed through Jesus Christ. I believe that we will be blessed if we give to the needy and poor, as that is Jesus’ command to us all.

Miracle News from Our Bible College
Our brothers in Papua have learnt to trust God  much more than us westerners who are quick to use our own logic and hence quick to wonder : “Has God really said this?”

A good example of this is in connection with our Maip Bible College. The college was built in a really desolate area, 20 km away from the closest road. Building a Bible College in the real “bush”, totally away from everything else doesn’t sound  sensible at all, by anyone’s logic.

 png-college.jpg

When I heard about the chosen location, my first thought was: “How on earth will our dear students manage? They will have to walk a very long way to and from their home villages to get there and back again for their pastoral studies. Another really annoying thing was the lack of electricity. Of course there  was no power supply at all in the area, as there was absolutely nothing there, only jungle. How would  a Bible College manage without electricity? Well, it worked, but only during daylight, and all the civilised infrastructure that  we Western people are so used to just didn’t exist. Early in the evening when darkness fell, it was totally dark, so the students were not able to study in the evenings at all.

The Bible College at Mt Maip

To get electricity to the college was a bigger problem than we first thought. At first we decided to buy a generator and we started to collect money for that purpose. However, it soon turned out that generators were extremely expensive and there was another problem too: how would we get it from Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, to Enga Province which is one hour’s flight away from the capital? And then how would we get the heavy device to the school, 20 km away from the roads?!  No way. Also, buying an old used generator would have been risky; how would we get it repaired and maintained if the engineer had to walk 20km to get there?

In fact, we ended up buying solar panels as we explained in our previous newsletter. And both students and teachers have been head over heels about their new facilities.
So why was the Bible College built in the Maip mountain area in first place, and why not beside our main church in Pausa? That puzzled me a lot, and I kept wondering about the situation. I was told that even our main church was complaining about the decision because they thought that building a Bible College so far away was totally contrary to common sense.  png-team.jpg

But God has all wisdom and all knowledge, even about things which a human being is not able to see yet. He used a prophet called Jeffery Anda to bring His message about the location for the Bible School. Jeffery received a message from the Lord in the year 2008 about the Maip mountains and the Bible College that was to be built there.

Here is what the Lord said in this prophesy:
- Maip is no longer in the wilderness like everybody is thinking.

- America is already here now.

- A brand new landcruiser with an untouched plastic seat cover is here.

Although this sounded strange, our Papuan brothers felt that the word was definitely from God. Pastor Kerry Wapea was chosen to lead the building work and to found the college in the mountains of Maip. The construction work was started. In Christmas, same year,  God sent His prophet to bring a verification to Pastor Wapea:

- Kerry Wapea, you have not wasted any single time in setting up the Maip College (he initiated the project)

- I put a deep lake there with all types of fish swimming underneath and all types of birds in the whole world will come and drink from it.

Does this sound sensible? Well, to be honest, at least I thought there was no sense at all. How on earth would there be Americans seen in the bushes, or that the whole world would become interested in the wilderness of Maip – and what about four-wheel drives?? At least this last one was so weird! That was something that one could not even dream about in the deepest jungle.

pastor-apolos.jpg  But in spite of these doubts, our Maip College was built, work was finished, buildings were blessed and students came to study.  A few days ago the phone rang. It was Pastor Sauan from our main church in Pausa.   He had stunning news: “An American mining company is in the process of doing some test drillings right now in the mountains of Maip where our school is situated. A huge gold deposit has been found there. The Americans are now going to bring their mining equipment and new four wheel drives to the area as other sort of cars are of no use in the bush.”

 Pastor Sauan

How astounding! The location of our school is really a blessed one now. We do not know yet what will happen but of course starting and running a mine will need a good road and electricity. The area will be prosperous. It will also attract other people from all over the world to come to try and benefit from the natural riches of the mountain area, and our Bible college will reap its part.

Who would have believed this? I can tell you that honestly all my reasoning was against it. Our dear Papuan Pastors were right when they felt that Jeffery’s prophecy came from the Lord. They put their trust in God and acted according to His instructions. Even though we do not always understand or see clearly, the eyes of the Lord see Tomorrow and He has all the wisdom and knowledge of what will come to pass.

With love
